Wrap skirt for a BBQ……….

Hola chicas:

Para despedir la semana os propongo un look de verano que use el domingo pasado para una actividad de barbacoa y piscina. Como ya os he contado en otras ocasiones, las faldas largas me fascinan, tengo muchas, es una pieza que me encanta, porque hoy en día lo podemos usar de muchísimas maneras y en muchísimas ocasiones, tanto para ir a la playa con chanclas y un traje de baño debajo, como para una ceremonia de gala con tacones y un top de seda o blusa bordada.

Ésta no es que sea de las más elegantes, al ser tipo pareo es una falda más bien informal, pero aun así le veo muchas posibilidades dependiendo del tipo de calzado. En esta ocasión la combiné de una manera casual y típica para un día de playa o piscina con este top tejido de una tienda local de aquí de Miami, y que por cierto tienen bellezas, y estas sandalias tipo gladiadores que tienen un modelo muy original.

Por acá el calor ya se está instalando para quedarse y hay que empezar a lucir hombros y espalda y comenzar a pillar un poco de color, pues aún cuando el clima en Miami es cálido prácticamente todo el año, la temperatura de la playa y la piscina esta más bien fría. Es increíble como hasta después de la segunda quincena de Mayo más o menos no comienza a calentarse el agua…..

Este próximo domingo es el día de la madre en España, aquí no se celebra hasta el siguiente domingo. Para mis lectoras españolas y europeas quiero desearles que lo paséis de maravilla y felices con vuestros hijos a vuestro lado, pues al final ellos son los más importante en nuestras vidas.

To say goodbye to this week I would like to share with all of you this outfit I wore last Sunday for a pool and a BBQ party. As I told you before I’m a fan of long skirts, in fact I have many of them, in different styles. I think is a sort of clothing that we can wear in many ways and many times, to go to the beach with flip-flop and one piece swimsuit or to go to a big event with high heels and a silk top or an embroidery blouse……

I know this one is very informal. Its wrap style makes it appropriate for other kind of activities, like a pool party or to go to the beach, but depending of your footwear you can wear it to take a walk or for a friend meeting… This time I combined it with this handmade knit top that I purchased recently from a local store here in Miami that offer a variety of items, but what I like the most is the way they make their products, all of them handmade…..and these leather gladiator sandals that are very originals….

Here in Miami summer is already here and the temperatures are increasing day by day, but is unbelievable how cold the beach water or pool could be, but I think it is time to show up our legs and shoulder and say good bye to the long sleeve sweater……

Next Sunday is mother’s day in Europe or at least in Spain, I would like to congratulate all mothers, and wish you the best in the world. I wish you a beautiful day full of love with yours children, ‘cause at the end they are the most important treasures in our lives……
