Miami and its green areas!!!!!!!!!

Today I would like to talk a little about the history of Miami, I have to admit that is quite interesting even when it has a few years of history in comparison with other cities in other countries and even in USA. The Miami area was better known as Biscayne Bay Country in its early years and it was inhabited by Native American Tribes at the time of the first European contact. In 1566 Pedro Menendez de Avilez was sent by the Spanish monarchy to remove the French from Florida who had already establish several colonies but they abandon this region due the successive war although this area was under their domains during three century since its enforced cession to The United States un 1821.

In 1891, a Cleveland widow named Julia Tutte decided to move to Miami to make a new start in her life after the death of her husband and to do so she purchased 640 acres on the north bank of the Miami River in present day downtown Miami. She persuaded railroad magnate Henry Flagler to expand his rail line and  the result was the foundation of the city in 1896. During the World War II the city was an important center for training and concentration of troops mainly in Miami Beach area. Following the 1959 Cuban revolution that thrown away  Fulgencio Batista and brought Fidel Castro to power many middle and upper cuban classes  moved to Florida in a massive migration with few possession.

In 1980, the Mariel boat lift brought 150000 cubans to Miami, the largest transport in civilian history. Unlike the previous exodus of the 1960, most of the Cuban refugees arriving were poor, some of them have been released from prisons or mental institutions to make the trip. During 1980s Miami started to see an increase in immigrants from other nations. In the 2000’s census a 65,8% of the population were classified as hispanics except in Little Havana that was a 90,8% of the population.

As I told you  before this city has many green special areas, its light is perfect to take pics due to the warm weather that we have during almost the whole year. This place where we took these pics is amazing, is a residencial area but is pure nature. We have been in this place before and I felt in love since the first moment so we decided to make a photo shoot around this wonderful place.
