El estrés juega un rol muy importante en nuestro cuerpo y sobre todo en nuestra habilidad para descansar y tener un sueño reparador. Hoy quiero compartir con todos vosotros una recopilación que he hecho recientemente

de algunos alimentos que nos pueden ayudar a reducir el estrés si los incluimos en nuestra dieta diaria y de esta manera sentirnos más calmados (atención, reducirlo, no eliminarlo completamente).

Los plátanos

¿Sabías cuántos beneficios le aporta esta fruta a nuestro cuerpo? Es una fruta con muchos nutrientes maravillosos para mantenernos enérgicos debido a sus azúcares naturales y su fibra que se libera a través de nuestro torrente sanguíneo. El plátano también es rico en un aminoácido esencial, el triptófano que nuestro cuerpo no es capaz de sintetizarlo, por tanto debe ser ingerido en nuestra dieta, este aminoácido hace que nuestro cuerpo produzca serotonina que es la llamada hormona de la alegría y puede mejorar nuestro estado de ánimo. Esta fruta también es rica en vitamin B que ayuda a mantener nuestro sistema nervioso calmado. Preferiblemente debe consumirse solo y que sea orgánico para de esta manera evitar los restos de pesticidas, herbicidas y otros agroquímicos. Este es un vegetal muy versatile. Es un tubérculo con nutrientes naturales para bajar el nivel de estrés y ayudan a disminuir la depresión. Por otra parte es también, un alimento rico en potasio, magnesio, vitamina B6 y aminoácidos. Al igual que el plátano, es una fuente de triptófano. Adicionalmente las cantidades de magnesio y potasio en el boniato ayudan a reducír los niveles de tensión arterial, un factor muy común debido al estrés.

Las verduras, sobre todo las de color verde, son ricas en nutrientes que ayudan a manejar los efectos del estrés, como el calcio, hierro, magnesio, vitamina C y B e incluso proteínas. Los de hojas verdes, como lechugas, espinacas, brócoli, espárragos y berza entre otras, son muy nutritivos para nuestra salud mental y nuestro bienestar físico, debido a su alto contenido de clorofila. Para aquellos que no les gustan los vegetales, no os preocupeís, hay muchas formás de introducír las verduras a nuestra dieta diaria por ejemplo en zumos, batidos o en ensaladas deliciosas.

Estudios que se han hecho demuestran que las cerezas son el único alimento natural fuente de melatonina, un químico responsable de regular el sueño así como nuestro reloj biológico interno. La falta de sueño es el mayor factor que constribuye al estrés y al estar cansados nos volvemos irritables. Las cerezas contienen polifenoles y vitamina C y es conocida por ser un antioxidante muy poderoso con propiedades antinflamatorias. Stress plays a massive role on our body and the ability to get sleep, proper results and recovery. Today I would like to share with you all a little research I made about some food that help us to reduce stress if we incorporate them into our diet and then feel calmer. (attention I’m talking about reduce stress level, not eliminate it because that’s depend on many other factors)

Bananas

Not only is it convenient and packed of nutrients, they are also great to keep you energy going due to their natural sugars and fibers which are slowly released into the bloodstream.
